  • The City of Rigby is accepting applications for Planning and Zoning Administrator
    The person will be responsible for supervising the planning and zoning department, issuing permits, reviewing compliance with city building codes and regulations, scheduling board commission’s agendas and meetings, attending other meetings as directed by the mayor. The person will also be asked to develop a plan for economic development for the city.
    Minimum qualifications include high school diploma, prior experience/work in community development or public administration and/or planning and zoning work. Communications skills, in both verbal and written, are of high priority. Certification and/or training in the APA or AICP program is highly preferred.
    Salary is based on experience. The city is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Hours - minimum of 35 hours per week. This is a full time position. Salary is dependent on qualifications and prior work experience.

  • The City of Rigby is accepting applications for Maintenance - Skilled Laborer.
    General Duties: This position requires general maintenance of the city’s water supply and distribution system, line maintenance, operation of equipment, grounds maintenance and general labor work.
    Essential Duties: Light maintenance of water equipment, vehicles, front end loader, lawn mowers, power generators, portable pumps, backhoe, snowplow trucks, and dump trucks. And other work as directed by the director of public works. The position requires being on call during weekends and after hours on a rotating basis, work in adverse weather conditions, have a class B CDL driver license and able to lift 50 pounds regularly throughout the workday. Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test with participation in the City’s drug testing program. A Class I or Class II Water Certification and/or willing to obtain basic certification is desirable.
    Salary is based on experience. The city is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Hours - minimum of 40 hours per week. This is a full time position with health insurance and PERSI retirement benefits.
